Terms & Conditions of Enrolment |

Upon enrolling in a course with any school, a student is entering a legal agreement under common law, in which they agree to abide by the conditions of enrolment (including meeting stated payments), in exchange for the service offered by the institution in the delivery of the course.
Courses Direct Distance Education Schools operates a refund policy which is fair and equitable.
The following conditions of enrolment apply:
- Notification of withdrawal from a course must be received in writing within 14 days of enrolment*, in order to qualify for a full refund (less postage, handling and administration costs – minimum AUD $100)
- Cancellation of enrolment within 7 days from date of enrolment will incur no charges (Please see waiver if applicable)
- No refund is available if withdrawal is sort after course commencement (i.e., course materials have been sent to the student) and the total course cost or the total cost owing will be charged.
- Course Duration: Short Courses (i.e., 60 to 120 hours duration) should be completed within 12 months of enrolment Certificates, Advanced Certificates and Diplomas (i.e., over 500 hours duration), should normally be completed within 3-5 years of enrolment
- Deferments and Extensions: If there is a valid reason, you may apply to the office manager in writing for a deferment or extension. If you have demonstrated some commitment to study we grant 6-12 months extensions without questions. If you demonstrate exceptional circumstances, we will normally grant 6-12 month deferments, as necessary. Recommencement fees may apply
- Disclaimer: Every attempt is made to ensure all information from the school is accurate and that the student has attained the competencies taught in a course, at the point of their assessment. Beyond this point, the graduate is responsible to maintain their acquired competencies, and apply acquired knowledge and skills in a way which is appropriate to the unique characteristics of each application. This will release the school from any liability, action and claims of whatsoever nature in connection with, or arising from any such information instruction or advice, given by any student or ex-student, whether directions given during the course are followed or not
- Courses, course notes and materials are not to be sold, loaned, copied, or used in any way outside of the pursuit of studying the course by the person who is enrolled in the course, unless permission is sought and granted in writing by the principal
- Recovery Costs: It is acknowledged that in the event of default in payment of an amount due to Courses Direct Distance Education Schools referral of any resultant debt (inclusive of any accrued interest or other fees whatsoever incurred in accordance with these Conditions of Enrolment) for collection by a mercantile agent plus any additional collection costs incurred
- Non-Commencement of Course: In the event that a course enrolled on does not commence on the agreed date (i.e., 14 days after enrolment date) and no alternative arrangement have been made to commence the course at a later date, students shall be refunded in full any monies that they have paid for the particular course
* Enrolment date is the date which the application for enrolment is received
and accepted by the Courses Direct Distance Education Schools office.
